Yes. For normal maintenance, clean the exterior with a damp soft cloth. If metal particles stick in the sharpening slot, rinse the sharpener with water and use a nylon brush to remove the particles. Dry completely before storage.

Replacement carbide or ceramic parts are not sold separately. If the sharpening abrasives become unusable under normal non-commercial use within the warranty period, the product may be covered under SHARPAL’s warranty policy.

For high-value professional hair-cutting scissors, professional sharpening is recommended. For lower-value scissors, SHARPAL 191H can be used, but it requires gentle force and some practice. Carbide scissors sharpeners may cause the scissors edge to bounce slightly if too much pressure is used.

Place the sharpener on a clean, smooth, flat surface, then press the black switch to lock the suction base. This helps keep the sharpener stable during use and allows for safer, one-handed sharpening.

Smooth, flat surfaces such as glass, polished stone, tile, or smooth countertops work best. Make sure the surface is clean and dry before locking the suction base.

Insert the knife vertically into the correct slot and pull it from heel to tip in one smooth direction. Use light, even pressure and avoid forcing the blade through the slot.
